The 26-year-old India National Cricket Team Wicketkeeper-Batsan Ishaan Kishan has been planted for a short-term tenure at the Roths County Championship run by Nottinghamshire.

Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club announced to sign a deal between India National Cricket Team and England National Cricket Team on Friday, June 20 between the Test series opener.

Cereet Kishan to play two county championship matches

Kishan has been given the status of one of the most talented young batsmen in world cricket, and has represented the India National Cricket Team in all three forms of the game.

He has played 2 Test matches, 27 Odis and 32 T20I for Team India. Kishan has scored 78 runs in his Test career, scoring 933 runs in Odis and 796 runs in T20I. He is also a world record holder for the fastest double century in ODI cricket, as he hit a double tonne in just 126 balls against Bangladesh in Chatogram.

Talking about its number in first -class cricket, Ishaan Kishan has played 58 matches and scored 3447 runs at an average of 37.87, with 8 tonnes and 17 half -centuries. Currently, he is out of India’s plan.

Meanwhile, Ishaan Kishan has signed a two -match deal with Nottinghamshire under international withdrawal. The Kishan will replace the Kyle Verraine in the squad as South African will be on national duty.

The Indian keeper-better will be available for selection for the upcoming county championship match against Yorkshire at Trent Bridge in Nottingham, which will be played from 22 to 25 June, and against the Summerset in Toonon, which will be played from 29 June to 2 July.

In an official statement issued by the club, Ishaan Kishan expressed his excitement on playing county cricket for Nottinghamshire. He said:

Ishaan said, “I am very excited to get the first taste of county cricket in England, and it will be a great chance to showcase my skills.”

“I want to make sure that I am the best cricketer I can be, and playing in English conditions will really help me learn new skills.

“Trent Bridge is a famous ground that is well known all over India and the world, and I’m really excited that I will play there.”

Nottinghamshire’s head coach Peter Murce said that he is happy with the rope in Ishan Kishan’s services, who bring quality with him. Peter said:

“We all pleased with these two championships to secure Ishaan’s services for fixtures, while Kyle is far away with South Africa.

“We want the players to be themselves and bring their own game, and something that especially stimulates me about Ishan how keen he is to join county cricket.

“He brings proven quality as a hard-touching middle-order batter in his ball-stroke, but when he is still developing his red-ball game, this spell will really be beneficial for him and us.”
