Mustafizur Rahman is ready to create history in The Hundred 2026

On Sunday, July 4, Mustafizur Rahman received official permission from the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) to play the entire season of The Hundred 2026 in England.

With the BCB issuing the No Objection Certificate (NOC) from July 20 to August 20, Mustafizur Rahman will be available for Birmingham Phoenix for their entire campaign in the upcoming The Hundred 2026.

Birmingham Phoenix signed Mustafizur Rahman during The Hundred 2026 Player Draft. The franchise picked up the senior Bangladesh fast bowler at his base price of GBP 100,000 (approximately Rs 1.28 crore).

When Mustafizur Rahman takes the field for Birmingham Phoenix, he will become the first Bangladeshi player to play in England’s 100-ball tournament – The Hundred.

“We have given him a one-month NOC for The Hundred,” Cricbuzz quoted a BCB official as saying. Meanwhile, India’s Bangladesh tour 2026 is about to be approved.

Parvez Hussain Emon gets NOC for Global Super League

Meanwhile, Bangladesh’s young batsman Parvez Hossain Emon has also been given NOC by the Bangladesh Cricket Board to participate in the Global Super League later this month.

Before leaving for the tournament in Guyana, Eamon will first play in Bangladesh’s upcoming three-match T20 series against Zimbabwe. These T20 matches are to be held on 15, 17 and 19 July in Bulawayo. After completing the Zimbabwe series, Eamon will be seen in action in the Global Super League.

On the other hand, Bangladesh fast bowler Hasan Mahmood has also got approval to play in the ongoing Vitality T20 Blast. Kent Spitfires have confirmed that Hasan will play in their final three group-stage matches of the Vitality T20 Blast in England.

Hassan has already made a strong impression for Kent in the County Championship this summer. He played two matches and took 12 wickets. His best performance came against Lancashire at Blackpool, where he took six wickets for 69 runs and helped Kent win the match.

After finishing his Vitality Blast matches, Hasan is expected to return to Bangladesh duty for the two-match Test series against Australia in August. If he is selected after the Australia tour, he is likely to return to England to play four more County Championship matches for Kent.

Mahmudullah Riyad begins new journey as Bangladesh ‘A’ batting coach

Meanwhile, former Bangladesh captain Mahmudullah Riyad is all set to start his coaching career as the batting coach of Bangladesh ‘A’ team.

Having previously worked as a mentor with the Bangladesh Under-19 team, he will now take up the full coaching role during Bangladesh ‘A”s upcoming tour of Australia for the Top End T20 series. This will be his third consecutive appearance in the series.

“Riyadh will travel to Australia with the A team as batting coach, while Sohail Islam will serve as head coach,” Daily Sun quoted a BCB official as saying. Imrul will be the assistant coach on that tour. Since he is currently in Australia, he will join the team there.
