Analysts have attributed this to the poor performance of the IPL 2025 campaign and less involvement from MS Dhoni, who played a limited role this season.
However, CSK’s fan loyalty, strong legacy and stable team under the leadership of Ruturaj Gaikwad make them one of the most trusted brands in world cricket.
Punjab Kings leads the way as fastest growing franchise
Among the emerging franchises, Punjab Kings (PBKS) recorded the highest brand value growth – an astonishing 39.6% increase over the last year.
The credit for this goes to their rebranding strategy, revitalized management led by Bollywood actress Preity Zinta and the young, energetic team led by Shreyas Iyer.
Overall brand value of IPL will increase in 2025
The brand ecosystem of the Indian Premier League continues its impressive growth path.
The league’s total business valuation rose significantly to $18.5 billion, while stand-alone brand value increased 13.8% to $3.9 billion.
