The Control Board for Cricket in India (BCCI) Chairman, Ajit Agarkar, has provided a large-scale update on the fitness of star all-rounder Hardik Pandya and Pace-Bauling Spearhead Jaspreet Bumrah.
Ajit Agkar made revelations while talking to reporters at the press conference after the announcement of India T20I and ODI squads for the upcoming Australia Tour.
Hardik Pandya put Australia Tour, Jaspreet Bumrah out of Miss Odis
Premier all-rounder Hardik Pandya has been dropped from the entire white-ball series against the Australia National Cricket Team due to injury.
In particular, Hardik Pandya picked up the injury to Quadriseps during the recent edition of the Asia Cup, which was played in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), with the India original host.
Pandya was injured before the Asia Cup 2025 final against the Pakistan National cricket team, which was a major setback for the India National Cricket Team, and was replaced by Rinku Singh in playing XI.
However, his absence was not felt as Shivam Dubey handled the motion-focus duties very well, and Tilak Verma broke a sensational half a century in a sensational half century, while India chased India’s goal for an epic victory.
Jasprit Bumrah was also part of India’s Asia Cup 2025-winning campaign, but not all matches. He was rested for inconsistent matches against Oman and Sri Lanka.
Currently, Jasprit Bumrah is in a two-match test series against the West Indies and will travel to Australia next time, but not for the entire white-ball series. He has been released from the ODI squad along with Harshit Rana, Mohammad Siraj, Arshdeep Singh and Prasad Krishna expert pacers.
