The West Indies must have been trying to bounce back firmly against comparatively weak Pakistan team in the upcoming T20I series. The matches between the two teams are to be played on 1 August, 3 and 4 at the Broward County Stadium in Florida.

A total of four players, who were part of the T20I series against Australia, would remember matches against men in Green. They are four players Alzari Joseph, Evin Lewis, Brandon King and Shimron Hetmier.

Pacer Alzari Joseph has been rested for the T20I series to manage his charge, keeping in mind the busy schedule, while Evin Lewis is rejected due to injury and will be monitored before the ODI series against Pakistan.

In addition, Shimron Hetmyer and Brandon are below with King Side Strain, raising injuries against Australia in the fifth T20I. To deal with the absence of the above players, the selectors have added Shamar Joseph, KC Katy, Alik Athanaz and Johnson Charles to the squad.

We will put it behind us and look forward to Pakistan series – Shai Hope

Speaking after a 0–5 defeat in Australia, West Indies captain Shaai Hope said that he needed to make significant improvements in the batting department. He explained in detail:

“Don’t think that we have performed a good batting. We came against a quality opposition in Australia, but as a batting group we did not give ourselves the best opportunity. We were always one step behind eight balls, but had to appreciate the bowling attempt. It did not happen for us today.

“In Caribbean, it is always better to chase due to dew and wind factor. But it is nothing I can control. We have some clarity in the bowling unit, we performed better. We will put it behind us and look forward to the Pakistan series.”
