Karachi is all set for a big moment in women’s cricket as the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has made a big announcement amid the ongoing Pakistan Super League 2026 (PSL 2026).
Indeed, the Zimbabwe women’s national cricket team will tour Pakistan for a full white-ball series for the first time. The 50-over games of this tour are part of the ICC Women’s Championship 2025–29.
Zimbabwe women ready for first Pakistan tour
On Friday, April 10, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) confirmed that the Zimbabwe women’s national cricket team will tour the country in May next month for six white-ball matches. The Zimbabwe team is expected to land in Karachi on April 29.

The tour is historic for Zimbabwe and an important occasion for Pakistan as they aim to prepare for the upcoming ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026.
The ODI series is extremely important for the hosts as it is part of the ICC Women’s Championship 2025-29 and they are currently placed fifth.
ODI series important for both Pakistan and Zimbabwe
Meanwhile, Pakistan Women and Zimbabwe Women will play three ODIs and three T20Is, with the iconic National Bank Stadium in Karachi hosting all the matches of this historic tour. The ODI matches are scheduled for 3, 6 and 9 May, with all games starting at 3:30 PM IST.
After the ODI series, the action will shift to the three-match T20I series between Pakistan and Zimbabwe. The T20I games are scheduled for 12, 14 and 15 May in Karachi. All T20I matches will start at 7:30 PM. Both the teams will train in Karachi between April 30 and May 2.
Pakistan to begin preparations for ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 with home series
With this home series, Pakistan will begin full preparations for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 in England. Before traveling to the UK for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026, Pakistan will also travel to Ireland for a T20I tri-series featuring Ireland and the West Indies from May 28 to June 4. These games will provide players with perfect match practice ahead of the global event.

“Zimbabwe women’s team will embark on its first tour of Pakistan to participate in a six-match white-ball series. The series comprises three ODIs and three T20Is. All six matches will be played at the National Bank Stadium in Karachi, with Zimbabwe arriving in Karachi on Wednesday, April 29,” the PCB said in an official media release.
