Yuzvendra Chahal took a humorous dig at Namibia after Sahibzada Farhan’s century.

India star Yuzvendra Chahal had a funny reaction to Sahibzada Farhan’s brilliant century during Pakistan’s do-or-die T20 World Cup 2026 match against Namibia in Colombo on February 15.

Historic milestone for Sahibzada Farhan in T20 World Cup 2026

Sahibzada Farhan played a brilliant unbeaten inning of 100 runs in 58 balls and took Pakistan to 199/3 in 20 overs. He completed his century in 57 balls and it became the fastest century by a Pakistani player in the T20 World Cup. Earlier, Ahmed Shehzad had played 58 balls to score a century against Bangladesh in 2014.

With this innings, Farhan also became the second Pakistani after Shehzad to score a century in T20 World Cup history. Farhan made a slow start and was scoring runs at a strike rate around 110. But once he became comfortable he completely changed his approach.

This also became the Pakistani opener’s career best T20I score. During the innings break, Yuzvendra Chahal made a light and funny comment in the show. He said that after this performance, Farhan may soon get another documentary made on himself and jokingly said that Namibian bowlers should also get a role in it.

“There is another documentary coming. I hope they will give a role to the Namibian bowlers in the documentary,” Chahal said on Star Sports’ Innings Break show.

The joke was linked to an earlier short film which was made after Farhan hit Jasprit Bumrah for three sixes in the Asia Cup 2025. However, India also won that game in Dubai.

Pakistan beats Namibia by 102 runs, secures Super Eight berth in T20 World Cup 2026

Meanwhile, Pakistan kept their T20 World Cup 2026 campaign alive with a massive 102-run win over Namibia at the Sinhalese Sports Club ground in Colombo on Wednesday. It was a do or die match for them. A defeat would have eliminated them from the tournament, but they performed well under pressure.

After winning the toss and batting first, Pakistan made a strong score of 199 runs for 3 wickets. The star of the night was Sahibzada Farhan. Sahibzada Farhan handled the early pressure and later attacked freely to take the score closer to 200. Namibia started well with the ball and kept things tight in the first few overs.

But after the eighth over, Pakistan changed gears. The batsmen started hitting boundaries regularly and did not allow the bowlers to settle down. In reply, Namibia struggled against Pakistan’s bowling attack and could not match the required run rate.

Wickets kept falling and the chase was never successful. Pakistan finished the game easily and won by 102 runs, securing their place in the Super Eight stage. Now India and Pakistan from Group A have qualified for the Super 8 round.
