Team India spinner Yuzvendra Chahal has broken his silence on the cheating allegations made by his ex-wife, Dhanashree Verma, calling them baseless and exhaustive. He said that a relationship of such duration could not have happened if he had cheated early on and said that he had moved on with his life.
On the OTT show Rise and Fall, Dhanashree alleged that Chahal cheated on her just two months into their marriage. During a conversation with fellow contestant Kubbra Sait, the choreographer revealed when she realized the marriage was failing, garnering attention and discussion on social media platforms.

However, Yuzvendra Chahal denied the cheating claims made by his ex-wife. In an interview with Hindustan Times, Chahal stressed that the relationship would not last long, calling the matter “over and done with.”
“I’m a sportsperson, and I don’t cheat. For me, this chapter is over, done and dusted. I’ve moved on with my life, and everyone else should too,” He said.
Chahal and Dhanashree connected for the first time during the Covid-19 lockdown. Spinner enrolled in her online dance classes, and their relationship quickly developed, leading to a marriage on December 22, 2020. However, the Bandra family court in Mumbai granted their divorce on March 20, 2025.
