Indian cricket fans got an unexpected dose of entertainment when Yuzvendra Chahal joined Ravi Bishnoi and Arshdeep Singh in a late-night Instagram Live session. Indian leg spinner Yuzvendra Chahal was bundled under a blanket as he turned a casual conversation into a moment the internet can’t stop talking about.

While the trio laughed and teased each other during the entertaining Instagram Live session, Chahal surprised everyone by joking that the only thing left in his life now is his blanket. The leg spinner said, “In life, no wife… only blankets (only quilts not clothes).”

Chahal then suggested to Arshdeep that they should “get married now.” This prompted his Punjab Kings (PBKS) teammate to ask if he wasn’t happy to see him enjoying life. Arshdeep said to Chahal, “Oh, you don’t like to see me happy and chilled, or what?”

What happened next took social media by storm. Yuzvendra Chahal made a sarcastic comment about Arshdeep’s bank balance being higher than required at this time.

Taking a dig at the ongoing trend of alimony in divorce cases, Chahal said, ‘It seems your bank balance is enough now.’

Behind the laughter, Yuzvendra Chahal is struggling with a difficult chapter in his personal life. His marriage to Dhanashree Verma ended in March 2025, after the couple lived separately for over a year.

Yuzvendra Chahal emphasizes India’s comeback after personal struggles

As part of the settlement finalized by the Bombay High Court, Chahal agreed to pay Rs 4.75 crore, with his tough career and lack of time cited as the main reasons behind the split. Despite the emotional turmoil, Chahal has continued to strive for an India comeback.

The experienced leg spinner recently played for Haryana in the opening round of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2025 against Puducherry. Chahal took 2 for 46 in his four overs, but Puducherry star Akash Pugazhendi’s 60 off 35 balls left his Haryana team trailing by five runs while chasing 202.

Chahal, who has 217 international wickets to his name, has been away from the Indian cricket team for more than two years. But his hunger remains intact. He is fighting for one last attempt to wear the Indian jersey again. He is currently a part of PBKS team in IPL.

On the other hand, after an average performance with the ball, Ravi Bishnoi has been released by Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) ahead of the IPL 2026 auction.

Arshdeep Singh is gearing up for South Africa ODI

Meanwhile, Arshdeep Singh is currently preparing for the upcoming three-match ODI series against South Africa starting on November 30.

Notably, Arshdeep has played only 11 ODIs, mostly on second-row tours under Shikhar Dhawan in 2022 and KL Rahul in 2023, and has played 39 List A matches overall. Despite limited opportunities, India knows that his talent cannot be ignored in ODIs.

With the ICC World Cup 2027 being held in pace-friendly conditions, a left-arm fast bowler who can swing the white ball like Arshdeep will be a vital weapon for the team. Keeping this in mind, Arshdeep has been recalled to the ODI squad for the Proteas team.
