Social media influencer RJ Mahwash recently revealed about his relationship with India and Punjab Kings leg spinner Yuzvendra Chahal.
Among other things, she also explained the dating rumors between the two and the reason behind them eventually unfollowing each other on social media.

The two were first seen together in public during the Champions Trophy final in Dubai last year. Since then, the two have often been seen together in public, especially during Chahal’s divorce proceedings with dancer/actress Dhanashree Verma.
Although the two never confirmed it, their dating rumors became heated on social media, especially after Verma made allegations of infidelity against Chahal.
However, in the past, the two have denied dating and said that they were just friends.
Last year, in an interview with podcaster Raj Shamani, Chahal had denied dating Mahvash and said that she was with him during the difficult phase of his life. She also expressed her dissatisfaction with Mahwash being labeled a ‘home breaker’ even though there was nothing romantic between them.

In an interview with Pinkvilla, Mahvash was asked about her relationship with Chahal and how it did not go beyond friendship. She also said that their unfollowing each other was not because of a breakup but because of a fight.
“People have a habit of making a big deal out of small things. When you are going through such things, it is no big deal. Two friends had an argument and we unfollowed each other; that’s it. When asked if things had progressed beyond friendship between the two, Mahwash said that it had not.

So, we stood with them in all our abilities,” he added.

As mentioned by Mahvash, he and his friends supported Yuzvendra Chahal throughout IPL 2025 and last year, he finished as the second-highest wicket-taker of the season for Punjab Kings.
PBKS finished runners-up in IPL 2025 and Chahal took 16 wickets in 14 matches at an average of 26.87 and an economy rate of 9.55.
PBKS have been struggling in this year’s IPL after a solid start. But Chahal is still the second highest wicket taker of the team this year. He has taken 10 wickets in 13 matches at an average of 36 and economy rate of 9.72.
