Punjab has produced some great cricketers for the Indian team over the years and two of the most successful cricketers among them have been Yuvraj Singh and Harmanpreet Kaur.
Yuvraj Singh needs no introduction as the contribution of this great all-rounder speaks for itself. He was a mainstay of the Indian white ball team for a very long time and produced a Man of the Tournament performance in India’s 2011 Cricket World Cup victory.
Talking about Harmanpreet Kaur, she is considered one of the greatest Indian women cricketers of all time, and has played many brilliant innings for the team.
However, Kaur recently achieved the biggest success of her career when she led India Women to their first-ever ICC Cricket World Cup win on home soil.
Meanwhile, the Harmanpreet Kaur Stand and Yuvraj Singh Stand in Mullanpur were unveiled ahead of the second T20 match between India and South Africa in the presence of both as well as Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann.
