Yuvraj Singh joins Delhi Capitals coaching staff under Sourav Ganguly

Former India cricketer Yuvraj Singh is all set to officially start his coaching career. If things go as per plan, the former World Cup-winning all-rounder will be seen in the Delhi Capitals (DC) dugout in next season’s Indian Premier League (IPL).

According to the exclusive report of Times of India, after Ashish Nehra, Virender Sehwag and Zaheer Khan, Yuvraj Singh is going to start his coaching innings in the league. He is expected to join the coaching team in an assistant role.

However, the exact post for Yuvraj has not been revealed yet. The report on June 19 claimed, “TimesofIndia.com has learned that Sourav Ganguly, who is expected to lead the franchise’s support setup, will have his former teammate in the dugout when JSW Group returns to take control for the next two years.”

It is understandable why the franchise would want to rope in Yuvraj Singh for the upcoming season. In recent times, the former batting all-rounder has helped batsmen like Abhishek Sharma, Shubman Gill, Priyansh Arya, Prabhsimran Singh, Sanju Samson and Rishabh Pant. His reputation has grown for guiding emerging batsmen.
