Young Indian cricketer loses his life in tragic Leh-Ladakh road accident

A fun road trip turned into a heartbreaking tragedy after a horrific accident on the Agra-Mumbai National Highway in Madhya Pradesh’s Barwani district on Monday (June 2) claimed the lives of a young cricketer and a businessman from Maharashtra, India.

Aniket Kale and Badrinath Nangre were traveling with two friends when their SUV met with a horrific accident near Jamli village in Madhya Pradesh’s Barwani district.

Aniket Kale and his friend Badrinath Nangre have lost their lives in a fatal road accident, reports Times of India. 28-year-old Kale was a well-known club cricketer from Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar in Maharashtra. He had built a good reputation in local cricket in Maharashtra.

On the other hand, 30-year-old Badrinath Nangre Chhatrapati was a successful restaurant and bar owner in Sambhajinagar (Aurangabad). Police said that the four friends were on a long road trip to Leh-Ladakh. On the way to Leh-Ladakh, he visited many religious places in Madhya Pradesh and other parts of the country.

Two friends injured as police begin investigation

However, their journey ended tragically when the SUV reportedly went out of control on the highway. Police believe that the driver may have dozed off while driving. The vehicle crossed the divider and went into the opposite lane, overturned several times and then collided with a truck coming from the other direction.

The impact of the accident was serious. Aniket and Badrinath died in the accident, while the other two were injured. They were identified as Bhushan, 25, of Pune and Omkar, 26, of Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar.

They were immediately taken to a private hospital in Sendhwa and both are currently stable and recovering. Police have informed the families and further investigation into the accident is underway.

The busy schedule continues with a short T20I tour of Zimbabwe and a two-match Test series in Sri Lanka towards the end of the year. India will host West Indies for a limited overs series before the trip new zealand For a multi-format tour. The year will end with Sri Lanka’s tour of India in December.

With matches across all formats and multiple overseas tours, Indian fans are all set for non-stop action in the remaining part of 2026.
