Former India captain and World Cup winner Kris Srikkanth has made a sarcastic comment on Pakistan. He suggested Pakistan cricket team to skip the upcoming ICC T20I World Cup 2026, as Team India is in great form. The former cricketer predicted that, in the current form the Men in Blue are in, they can thrash any other team around the world.

Some doubts were raised on Team India after the 1-2 defeat in the 3-match ODI series against New Zealand. But Suryakumar Yadav and his boys have proved that T20Is are a different format, and they are fully prepared for it.

Team India easily won its third win in Guwahati

Yesterday, in Guwahati, Team India registered another encouraging win over the Blackcaps to take a 3-0 lead in the ongoing 5-match T20 series. Chasing the target of 154 runs, the host team won the match in just 10 overs. With 60 balls remaining and seven wickets in hand, India won the match.

Like many previous occasions, Abhishek Sharma was out in the middle, using all his strength to register a half-century in 14 balls. Captain Suryakumar Yadav also supported him well. Team India’s batting and bowling line-up are looking like a good machine ahead of the T20 World Cup 2026.

Pakistan unsure about T20 World Cup 2026

The ICC T20 World Cup 2026, co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka, is scheduled to begin on February 7. There were several controversial moments before the start of the flagship tournament.

The Bangladesh cricket team, which was originally scheduled to play in Kolkata for the group matches, ruled itself out of the competition after the International Cricket Council did not approve the Bangladesh Cricket Board’s request to shift its matches from India to Sri Lanka, citing ‘safety and security concerns’ for its cricketers.

As the BCB stuck to its stand, the ICC pulled them out of the tournament and allowed Scotland to enter the T20 World Cup 2026. After the exit of Bangladesh cricket team, now there is tension in Pakistan cricket team. Pakistan Cricket Board chief Mohsin Naqvi said that Pakistan is unsure about participating in the T20 World Cup and they are waiting for the government’s approval.

Former Indian captain’s suggestion for Pakistan cricket team

In such a situation, the former Indian cricketer jokingly told Pakistan that it should not participate in the T20 World Cup 2026 because Team India is in great form. India and Pakistan are in the same group with the United States, Namibia and the Netherlands. India will face Pakistan on 15th February in Colombo.

Chris Srikkanth said on his YouTube channel, “Hey Pakistan, don’t come. Your man Mohsin Naqvi is talking about it – don’t come. You will be beaten. A six in Colombo will be hit in Madras. Be careful. The best option is to stay away. Find some excuse and don’t come. These boys will beat them a lot.”

“This will send a dangerous signal to every cricket team in the world. This kind of hitting in T20 cricket – I have never seen anything like it.”
