Team India’s hopes of winning the ongoing Test series against England are now hanging from a thread. After the Hardik defeat in the third Test, India now needs to win the remaining two tests to win a famous test series.
India suffered a 22 -run defeat in the third Test at Lord’s. Both teams scored 387 runs in the first innings, with Indian bowlers a great attempt to bowl England for 192 runs in the second innings. Set a target of 193 runs, India was out for only 170 runs.
England takes an important leadership in the series
The victory saw England above 2–1 in the series. England now require only one win or two draws to achieve the series, while India will have to win both games to win a Test series in England for the first time since 2007.

Beyond the austerity test of the series, the management of Jasprit Bumrah has once again become a matter of the city.
Jasprit Bumrah took a break in 2 Tests
The Indian team management faced serious criticism after giving rest to Jasprit Bumrah for the second Test in Edgbaston.
After losing the first Test, India decided to rest the Jasprit Bumrah, even though there was a difference of one week between the first two matches. Fortunately for India, the decision did not backfire as they went to win the game to attract the level.
Jasprit Bumrah took action in the third Test and had a quick impact with 7 wickets including 5 in the first innings.
No superstar player should take a brake: Sunil Gavaskar
There is speculation that Bumrah may be rested for fourth test as well as workload management. However, former India captain Sunil Gavaskar has warned Bumrah against remembering the fourth Test.
According to reports, Pesar had told the management that he was available for only three of the five matches in the series.
In such a scenario, it would not be surprising if he is rested for a fourth test so that he can play the fifth and final game.
However, Sunil Gavaskar has said that no superstar player should take a break during the series. Sunil Gavaskar also suggested that players who did not get any chance in the first three tests should play domestic cricket in England during the break.
Gavaskar said on Sony Sports, “No superstar player should take a break. You have not come here for a holiday.”
He said, “You should get some cricket. You are playing for India. You are not doing cruise or anything like this,” he said.
The fourth Test is to be played in Manchester from 23 July. On the other hand, the fifth test will be played from 31 July at Oval, London.
