Yashasvi Jaiswal discharged after gastroenteritis, advised 7-10 days of complete rest

After conducting medical tests including CT scan and ultrasound, doctors confirmed that Yashasvi Jaiswal was suffering from acute gastroenteritis. He responded well to the treatment and was discharged from the hospital, but he has been advised to take complete rest for about a week to ten days.

This recovery period will be important for him to regain strength before returning to training. The decision on his return will be taken only after medical clearance, everyone is waiting to see him back in action once he is fully fit.

A sports physiotherapist commented, “Acute gastroenteritis can cause severe dehydration and weakness.” “For an athlete, complete rest cannot be compromised in order to fully recover and prevent recurrence, which could lead to prolonged time away from the sport.”

Yashasvi Jaiswal was last seen playing for India in South Africa ODI

Just a few days before Yashasvi Jaiswal was admitted to the hospital, the left-handed batsman was in excellent form in domestic cricket. He scored 101 runs on 50 balls for Mumbai in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. However, Mumbai failed to reach the final in the tournament.
