West Indies on the verge of innings defeat against Team India
On the third day, Nitish Kumar Reddy had a remarkable impact by holding a fast flight to dismiss the West Indies opener Tagnarin Chanderpall. Chandpall had already struggled in the first innings, scoring a duck off 11 balls, and only 8 runs out of 23 delivery in the second innings.
Mohammad Siraj gave an initial success for his team on the second ball of the eighth over of the second innings of the West Indies. This wicket was Siraj’s fifth dismissal in the match, giving India further control over the game.
Chanderpall’s dismissal left the visitors at 12/1 after 7.2 overs. At the time of writing, the West Indies were 47/5 in their second innings, still at the crease with 239 runs from India, Alik Athanaz (18) and Justin Greaves (0).
Yashasvi Jaiswal failed to start in big score in the first innings
On the first day, on 1, India hit with a new ball as Mohammad Siraj made a good magic. He took 4 wickets for 40 runs as West Indies were dropped for only 162 in 44.1 overs. Visitors had no response to the disciplined bowling attack and turned cheaply in their first innings.
In response to India, Yashasvi Jaiswal scored 36 runs, while Sai Reformson was rejected for only seven. KL Rahul scored 100 from 197 balls before being dismissed in his 11th Test, in his 11th Test and second house. Skipper Shubman Gill also scored 50 runs from 100 delivery.
Dhruv Jurlel and Ravindra Jadeja shared a 206 -run stand for the fifth wicket. Jurael reached his first Test hundred with 125 runs, while Jadeja remained unbeaten on 104, his sixth century. India announced 448/5 after 128 overs.
