Yashasvi Jaiswal enters elite company with seventh Test century
With his seventh Test century, the 23-year-old joins the elite list of players who have scored seven or more centuries in this format before turning 24. Only three legends, Don Bradman (12), Sachin Tendulkar (11), and Garfield Sobers (9) have more centuries by this age.
Jaiswal has become the joint fourth player in Test history to score seven centuries before the age of 24. Pakistan’s Javed Miandad, South Africa’s Graeme Smith, England’s Alastair Cook and New Zealand’s Kane Williamson had also scored seven Test centuries by this age.

India dominate after KL Rahul’s initial shock in Delhi Test
Meanwhile, with the help of Yashasvi Jaiswal’s brilliant century, India has taken complete control of the ongoing second Test against West Indies. After losing the wicket of KL Rahul early in the morning session, Jaiswal and Sudarshan paced the Indian innings and turned the match in their favour.
Before the final session on the first day of the second Test against West Indies in Delhi, 220 runs for 1 wicket were written on the scoreboard. Sudarshan got a lucky chance before the tea break when Justin Greaves created an easy chance at midwicket, but Jomel Warrican failed to stop him.

The pitch at Arun Jaitley Stadium is proving suitable for batting and India looks ready to take advantage of the conditions. Jaiswal has been in great form, and with his century already under his belt, he will be aiming to convert it into a big score against the struggling touring side.
On the other hand, Sudarshan is moving towards his first Test century. The West Indies bowlers tried their best to break this partnership but got very little success.
Their fast bowlers have struggled to make an impact, while among the spinners only Warrican has managed to exert some pressure. Now, they will be hoping to achieve success against India’s dominant batting lineup.
