WWE star Drew McIntyre becomes the latest celebrity to join the Vaibhav Suryavanshi mania in IPL 2026. The wrestling star posted a video of himself in Rajasthan Royals jersey on Instagram.
Suryavanshi has been in the news this year due to his explosive batting performance in the IPL. McIntyre’s support comes at a time when RR’s hopes of adding to their only IPL trophy are still alive.

McIntyre is seen lifting weights in the video Rajasthan Royals Suryavanshi’s name on the back of the jersey.
The WWE star added just a two-word caption to the video “Chosen One.” Since his debut in 2009, Drew McIntyre, whose real name is Andrew Galloway IV, has been wrestling under the alias ‘Chosen One’.
McIntyre also tagged the official account of Rajasthan Royals team on the video.
Both RR captain Riyan Parag and the franchise commented on McIntyre’s post.
“Oh my god, I can’t remember how many Future Shock DDTs I’ve hit on 2K,” Parag wrote. The DDT is a popular WWE move that has been adopted and improved by many wrestlers over the years. The move has no official full form, but it is named after a dangerous chemical that is now banned.
2K is a series of WWE video games for both PC and consoles, currently developed by Shiver Entertainment, a division of Nintendo.
The official account of Rajasthan Royals commented “of course” on McIntyre’s post, also supporting the 15-year-old player.

RR will face SRH in IPL eliminator
Rajasthan Royals on Wednesday and Vaibhav Suryavanshi Sunrisers will be in action against Hyderabad in the eliminator. RR finished fourth in the IPL 2026 points table while SRH finished third.
The loser of this match will end his journey in IPL 2026 here, while the winner will advance to Qualifier 2 on May 29, where Gujarat Titans are waiting.
Both Eliminator and Qualifier 2 will be held here Maharaja Yadvendra Singh International Cricket Stadium In Mullanpur, New Chandigarh. The winner of Qualifier 2 will take on Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL final in Ahmedabad on May 31.
RR’s path to the Eliminator was not at all easy. After winning its first four matches, the team lost 6 of the next 8 matches. But they managed to make the playoffs mostly on their own by winning their last two matches and without relying on other results.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi was the breakout sensation of IPL 2025, but in 2026, he has essentially evolved into the best batsman in the league.
He has 583 runs in 14 matches at an average of 41.64 and a tremendous strike rate of 232. He has also scored 3 half-centuries and one century this year.
Vaibhav Suryavanshi has also hit 53 sixes in this year’s IPL, which is just 7 sixes short of the record of most sixes hit by a player in an IPL season.
