Women’s Asia Cup Rising Stars 2026 Set to mark an important chapter in Asian women’s cricket Asian Cricket Council Unveiling a busy schedule for the second edition of the tournament. The competition will be held in Bangkok, Thailand from 13 to 22 February, bringing together some of the most promising young cricketers from across the continent. India A Women will face Pakistan A Women on February 15 in one of the standout fixtures of the league stage, a clash that is already attracting significant attention among fans and followers of the game.

India-Pakistan conflict headlines Group A

According to the schedule released by the Asian Cricket Council, the India A vs Pakistan A match will take place on February 15. Interestingly, the senior men’s teams of both the countries will also clash on the same day. ICC Men’s T20 World Cup at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo, making it a notable date in the cricket calendar.

India A has been placed in Group A along with Pakistan A, United Arab Emirates and Nepal. The group promises competitive cricket, with each team eager to claim a place in the knockout rounds. India A will begin its campaign against UAE on February 13 and take on Pakistan A on February 15. Their final group-stage match will be against Nepal on 17 February.

Eight teams will compete in the T-20 format

The Women’s Asia Cup will be played in the Rising Stars T20 format and aims to provide a strong platform for the next generation of women cricketers. The tournament features ‘A’ teams from the four full member nations with ODI status, as well as four associate teams that have made steady progress in recent years.

Group B comprises Sri Lanka A, Bangladesh A, Malaysia and Thailand. With a balanced mix of experienced ‘A’ sides and ambitious associate teams, the competition is expected to provide close contests and valuable experience for young players preparing for the higher levels of international cricket.

The event has found a new home after postponement

The second edition of the tournament was originally scheduled to be held in Sri Lanka in June last year. However, the event was postponed following a request by Sri Lanka Cricket due to persistent adverse weather conditions and public health concerns following the Chikungunya outbreak in the country. The decision to move the tournament to Bangkok provided a fresh start, with Thailand emerging as a reliable host for regional and age-group events in recent years.
