BCCI Vice President Rajeev Shukla also reacted to this sad news. He expressed condolences and said that this loss is extremely heartbreaking. He mentioned that Rinku’s father had struggled for a long time and the family has faced many difficulties over the years.

ANI quoted Rajeev Shukla as saying, “The news of Rinku Singh’s father’s demise is very sad. He was ill for a year… He struggled a lot in his life… Rinku is also very upset… It is very sad… I pay my tribute to him.”

Meanwhile, Rinku did not participate in the Super 8 match of the T20 World Cup 2026 against Zimbabwe. India went with Sanju Samson in the playing eleven, forcing him to sit on the bench.
