ANI quoted Rajeev Shukla as saying, “The news of Rinku Singh’s father’s demise is very sad. He was ill for a year… He struggled a lot in his life… Rinku is also very upset… It is very sad… I pay my tribute to him.”

Rinku Singh is likely to miss the crucial Super 8 match against West Indies
Meanwhile, Rinku did not participate in the Super 8 match of the T20 World Cup 2026 against Zimbabwe. India went with Sanju Samson in the playing eleven, forcing him to sit on the bench. Now questions are being raised whether Rinku will participate in the important Super 8 match with West Indies in Kolkata.
A journalist from RevSportz shared that “Rinku’s participation in the Kolkata game seems unlikely” after her father passed away on Friday morning.
