Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) have finalized their squad for the IPL 2026 season as, like other teams, they have also submitted their final list of retained and released players on November 15. With the IPL 2026 auction scheduled to take place on December 16 in Abu Dhabi, the choice of LSG has created a buzz.
The biggest talking point after Lucknow Super Giants’ disappointing IPL 2025 campaign was the future of the captaincy. With Australia also retaining T20I captain Mitchell Marsh, speculation has run rampant that the franchise could hand him a leadership role, especially after his impressive captaincy at the highest level in the format.
