It was a heart-mouthed moment; The South African all -rounder Vian Malder fell on the pitch, even before bowling his first ball in the second ODI against Australia at the Great Barrier Reef Arena in McKke on Friday, 22 August.
The scary incident occurred in the 10th over in Australia’s innings in McKay. Vian Mulder started over over with a good length outside the delivery, and Cameron Green pushed it to a single towards the cover point, but before the actual first ball of the over, Proteus Star Vian Malder almost gave a heart attack to players and fans.

Charging with full rhythm, the Mulder suddenly lost his leg, and his back leg slipped strangely as he crashed into his follow-three. For a moment, the entire stadium feared a bad injury. But the Mulder showed peace in a stressful moment and managed to stand on his feet.

He inspected the landing area and went back to his mark as if nothing had happened. At his second delivery, Mulder replaced the tables on Australia. Australian all -rounder Mitchell Marsh was keen to dominate, as he went to shoot a risky bridge from the delivery of the glitter, which was not quite low.

AIDEN Markram rested Temba Bavuma for another ODI against Australia
Meanwhile, Aiden Markram is captaining South Africa in the second ODI against Australia on Friday, as the regular captain, Temba Bavuma was rested to manage his charge.
CSA posted on X: “ODI captain Temba Bavuma has been rested for the second match against Australia. The decision is part of his charge management, as he recovered from a hamstring strain he continued during the WTC final in June.
Although he did not experience any inconvenience during the first ODI, the Proteus Medical Team recommended that he be rested for the second match. He will be available to lead the side in the third ODI on Sunday, in which Aiden Markram will stand as captain today. ,

Australia 2 OD in trouble in chasing 278 after early collapse
Markram decided to bat first after winning the toss against the host in McKay. The Protiaz side managed to post 277 runs on the board, for Matthew Bretzke and Triston Stabs for a brilliant knock of 88 and 74 runs, against the hosts in another ODI.
Tony de Jorzi also scored 38 runs. For Australia, Adam Zampa was a standout bowler with three scale, while Xavier Bartlett, Nathan Ellis, and Maarnas Labschagan took two wickets against South Africa in McKay.
Chasing the target, Australia made a poor start, lost two wickets for only 7 runs, and then they lost Marsh. Nevertheless, the hosts need 145 runs in 22.2 overs with five wickets against South Africa.
