Cricket fans across India are fuming after the other BCCI The official confirmed that the Dalip Trophy 2025 quarter -finals would not be streamful or online stream on TV. The decision, which refuses to give fans a chance to see some top domestic stars of India in action, has severely criticized and ruled the debate about the board’s attitude for domestic cricket coverage.
Why is there no telecast or live streaming of the Dilip Trophy 2025 quarter -finals?
Blackout stems from BCCI’s broadcast contract, which allows a certain number of telecast days for Indian cricket each year. To manage this quota, only the Duleep Trophy final (sept 11–15) will be shown live.
A source of BCCI told the Times of India:
“BCCI has a contract with its official broadcaster for a certain number of India’s cricket telecast days. They should be managed carefully. Only the Dalip Trophy final will be lived and strengthened online on the final television. But it is needed to improve from the perspective of fans.”
The move has disappointed supporters, especially since international and emerging stars have been established in the tournament. Many reported that previous versions offered live streaming, called this year’s blackout “abusive” and a “step backward”. Social media has been filled with positions seeking better access to both players and fans.
All domestic T20 competitions are being streamted. TNCA has club matches that have been streamful. The Duleep Trophy is a major domestic tournament. Zero streaming. It is Abysmal from BCCI. Indian cricket is better than this. #Duleeptrophy

Baikalash has intensified the call to reconsider his broadcast strategy for BCCI, making sure that fans are not remembered in the future season in domestic matches. For many people, the issue is more than just entertainment – it is about keeping the heartbeat of Indian cricket alive.
The absence of coverage has also raised questions about stability. While state T20 leagues often enjoy live telecast, India’s major red-ball domestic program is limited to the BCCI app and the live score on the website. Critics argue that it reduces efforts to promote multi-day domestic cricket, which is important to prepare future India players.
