Mumbai Indians return to their home ground at Wankhede and will be up against one of the toughest batting lineups in this edition of the competition. Mumbai Indians have struggled, especially with their bowlers not bowling the right lengths and their top bowler Jasprit Bumrah taking fewer wickets.
On the other hand, Sunrisers Hyderabad are in dominant form chasing big targets with ease. Moving from a beautiful batting surface at their home ground to another batting paradise at the Wankhede Stadium. However, it is expected to be a challenging night for the MI bowlers as they are still in search of pace.
The Hardik Pandya-led team has suffered a major blow as Rohit Sharma has not been able to play in the last few matches, while now the number of players has been lengthened with the new inclusion of two foreign stalwarts like Quinton de Kock and Mitchell Santner.
Why is Quinton de Kock not playing the match against SRH?
Left-handed wicketkeeper batsman Quinton de Kock, who came into the MI team as Rohit Sharma’s replacement at the top, scored a brilliant century on his comeback for Mumbai Indians. He then replaced Ryan Rickelton in the main eleven.
However, after two big failures, Quinton de Kock has now missed the match against Sunrisers Hyderabad. However, captain Hardik Pandya has confirmed that it is not entirely due to the unfortunate injury the cricketer suffered suddenly on his wrist, and he has missed the game.
“Mitchell (Santner) was unlucky, and today Quinny was also unlucky. He just did something on his wrist. We have some changes for this team. Ryan (Richelton) has come in place of Quinney,” Hardik said at the time of the toss.
