Rajasthan Royals (RR) young opener Vaibhav Suryavanshi showcased his aggressive batting during the Rising Stars Asia Cup 2025 match against Pakistan A in Doha on Sunday, November 16. The left-handed batsman had a constant conversation with Pakistan A fast bowler Ubaid Shah and the clip grabbed attention.
Vaibhav has already earned recognition for his fearless attitude. The youngster from Samastipur, Bihar didn’t hesitate in expressing that sentiment during India A’s match against Pakistan A at the West End Park International Cricket Stadium. He hit a four on the first ball of the game against Pakistan.
Put the ball, put the ball – Vaibhav Suryavanshi
Vaibhav Suryavanshi entered the match full of confidence after scoring 144 runs in 42 balls against UAE. The tension between him and fast bowler Ubaid Shah was clearly visible and both the players kept talking to each other from time to time.
Whenever Suryavanshi missed a shot, Ubaid would stare at him. However, Suryavanshi was not ready to retreat. In the third over, when he failed to connect an inside-out shot, he looked straight at the bowler and asked him to concentrate on bowling.
Suryavanshi was heard saying on the stump mic, “Ball dal na, ball dal. (Ball dal, just throw the ball).”
On the very next ball, Suryavanshi timed the ball well and hit a four. After the shot, he moved to his opening partner Priyansh Arya. Ubaid had nothing more to say and the young Indian batsman walked away with a lead.
Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s 45 runs went in vain and India A was reduced to 136 runs.
Vaibhav Suryavanshi scored 45 runs in 28 balls, which included five fours and three sixes. After reaching 79 for 1, the team collapsed and were all out for 136. Sufiyan Muqeem initiated the collapse, as the remaining seven wickets fell for just 45 runs.
Pakistan A easily chased the target and won by eight wickets, completing the task with 40 balls to spare. Opener Maaz Sadaqat was the top scorer for Pakistan, scoring 79 runs from 47 balls, which included seven fours and four sixes.
India A will look to bounce back in their next match against Oman at the West End Park International Cricket Stadium in Doha on Tuesday, November 18.
