New Delhi. Team India’s former star batsman Sachin Tendulkar is also in the news due to his calm behaviour. Apart from being a cricketer, he is also the brand ambassador of many companies. Sachin had said in an interview that once a company was giving him a blank cheque. Despite this he refused to accept this cheque. As soon as he rejected the cheque, he showed a mirror to legends like Sunil Gavaskar, Kapil Dev and Virender Sehwag.
Actually, while speaking at an event, Sachin Tendulkar had said, “I started playing cricket during my schooling. Since then many promotional offers started coming to me. Many tobacco companies asked me to do their promotions but I never did it. Because I had promised my father that I would never advertise tobacco products.”
Sachin had said that I had received offers from many tobacco companies. But I never accepted him. They even gave me blank checks but I never accepted these cheques. My father had said that you are a role model, whatever you follow, the world will follow. That’s why I have not promoted any tobacco products till date.”
Let us tell you that Sachin has never but legends like Sunil Gavaskar, Kapil Dev and Virender Sehwag have endorsed tobacco products. These three cricketers have promoted tobacco products. All these players have been amazing on the cricket field. Kapil Dev made India win the World Cup for the first time. Except Kapil Dev, Gavaskar, Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag have scored more than 10000 runs in international cricket. Kapil Dev has 9031 runs in his name.
