India, captained by Shreyas Iyer, and Pakistan, captained by Sahibzada Farhan, are in opposite halves of the knockout bracket. They can face each other in the semi-finals or finals only if both the teams continue their winning streak.
India women and Pakistan women can meet only in the final
India women will begin their title defense against Japan in the quarter-finals. If Harmanpreet Kaur and her team win that match then they will face Bangladesh or China in the semi-finals.
Pakistan Women will start their campaign against Thailand in the quarter-finals. A win will send them to the semi-finals, where they will face either Sri Lanka or Malaysia for a place in the final.
It is noteworthy that India Women and Pakistan Women cannot meet before the final. Both sides will have to win their quarter-final and semi-final matches to decide the fight for the gold medal.

India will travel to Japan as defending champions in both the men’s and women’s cricket events after winning the gold medal at the Hangzhou 2023 Asian Games.
