England batsman Jordan Cox admitted that he was surprised to learn that someone had secretly photographed his private meeting with Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) teammate Virat Kohli. The 25-year-old player said the incident shows how difficult it is for Kohli to enjoy privacy even during a quiet café visit in London.

The former India captain has been living in the United Kingdom (UK) since his retirement from Test cricket. Kohli has repeatedly talked about protecting the privacy of his children Vamika and Akaye. The latest incident has once again attracted the public’s attention regarding his personal life.

Recently, pictures of Virat Kohli and Jordan Cox meeting at a cafe in London before their Test debut against New Zealand at The Oval went viral on social media. The England batsman admitted that he was shocked that someone had secretly photographed him.

“The thing that’s upsetting to him is that people are following him without him even knowing. Hundreds of people passed us, no one stopped, no one did anything. But then, about two hours later, he’s texting me and saying, ‘Have you seen all these pictures?’ I was like, ‘What the fuck?'”
“It’s a shame how many people want a piece of him. He just wants to go under the radar, have fun, and live a normal life. Unfortunately, that’s not always possible.”

Jordan Cox also praised Virat Kohli for the support he has received during his IPL 2026 stint at Royal Challengers Bangalore. Cox said that despite being one of the biggest stars of the game, Kohli spent a lot of time helping young players.

“What stood out to me most during the IPL is how much time he gave me as a player and for someone who has achieved so much, he usually gives so much time. Some people focus on their game, but he is someone who always wants to help others before helping himself. That’s very rare.”
Cox and Kohli had shared the RCB dressing room during the IPL 2026 season. Kohli was the leading run-scorer for RCB with 675 runs in 16 matches at a strike rate of 165.84. He also won the Player of the Match award after scoring an unbeaten 75 in the final to help RCB defeat Gujarat Titans.
Virat Kohli ready to return in ODI against England
Virat Kohli suffered a hamstring injury during the IPL 2026 final against Gujarat Titans at the Narendra Modi Stadium. The injury forced him out of India’s ODI series against Afghanistan as he continued his recovery at the BCCI Center of Excellence.
After completing your rehabilitation and receiving fitness clearance, Kohli has fully recovered from injury. The 37-year-old spent over a month training in the United Kingdom to prepare for his return to international cricket.
Kohli is set to return when India face England in the three-match ODI series starting July 14. The matches will be played in Birmingham, Cardiff and Lord’s, giving India a chance to bounce back after disappointing T20I series against Ireland and England.
