The Cricket West Indies (CWI) officially announced the 15-member ODI squad of the West Indies National Cricket Team for the upcoming series against the Pakistan National Cricket Team.
The West Indies and Pakistan recently shut down the horns in the three-match T20I series, which the home team lost 1-2 and gave men a widespread victory in Green a wide victory from the Asia Cup 2025.
Romario returns to Shepherd ODI team
The three -match ODI series between the Caribbean side and Pakistan is scheduled to be played at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Trinidad. On August 8, the ODI will be the opener of the series, and will be followed by matches on August 10 and 12.

The ODI squad at the West Indies closed the horns with the English team in May-June. Only Romario Shepherd Alazari has come as a replacement of Joseph.
Pacer Alzarri Joseph is being properly managed by CWI, and has been given an extended rest to continue the workload management program.
Talking about the Roomario Shepherd, the explosive all-rounder is now back, missing the ODI matches in England due to his IPL commitments with Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), as the playoffs were re-determined.
With a strong squad at the ground, the West Indies would be looking at the house to register their fourth consecutive ODI series win and create a strong core for the next ODI.
Under the leadership of Shai Hope, the Windies squad consists of the choice of Shamar Joseph, Brandon King, Evin Lewis, Goodkesh Moti, Sherfen Rutherford, and Jeden Seal, which all are able to win the match for the Caribbean team.

Pakistan presents a separate test – Daran Sammy
In an official statement issued by CWI, Windies head coach Deran Sammy said that men always present a “separate test” in Green and they want to perform well in the series to achieve their goals of entering the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2027. He said: He said: He said:
“Pakistan presents a separate test and challenge as we continue our push for automated qualifications for the 2027 World Cup.”
“While qualifying is our immediate goal, maintaining a victorious mentality and team harmony is essential for long -term success.”
Daren Sammy is also seeing matches against Pakistan as a great opportunity to earn valuable points to climb in the ICC ODI team rankings. He said:
“The upcoming matches against teams like Pakistan, which are in high position, provide important opportunities to earn valuable ranking points to improve our standing in front of the World Cup.”
