West Indies cricketer banned for match fixing after T20 World Cup 2026

A new scandal has emerged in the cricket world after the International Cricket Council (ICC) took action on alleged corruption involving Cricket West Indies (CWI). The governing body has officially charged the West Indies national cricket team and three individuals from the CWI.

West Indies cricketers Javon Searles, Chittaranjan Rathod and Trevon Griffith have been officially charged by the ICC for alleged violations of anti-corruption rules in the Bim10 tournament 2023-24, which falls under the Anti-Corruption Code of Cricket West Indies (CWI).
