Cricket West Indies announced a 15-member squad for its upcoming Test series against Pakistan starting on 25 July and ending on 6 August. The 2-match test series will be held in Trinidad.

The West Indies vs Pakistan Test series will be a historic event for West Indies cricket, as the opening match of the bilateral series in the West Indies will be played at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy from July 25-29, marking the first Test match at the venue.

Cricket West Indies has announced a 15-member team for the series against Pakistan.

For the historic Test series, Cricket West Indies has appointed Roston Chase as the captain and Jomel Warrican as the vice-captain.

Roston Chase (captain), Jomel Warrican (vice-captain), Joshua Bishop, Tagenarin Chanderpaul, Joshua Da Silva, Justin Greaves, Kavem Hodge, Shai Hope, Ameer Jangu, Shamar Joseph, Brandon King, Kirk McKenzie, Keemo Paul, Kemar Roach, Jayden Seales.

The West Indies Cricket Board has retained most of the Test squad that defeated Sri Lanka in the Test earlier this month. The Maroons team defeated the island nation’s team 1–0.

While the Caribbean Cricket Board has retained most of its core members from the previous team, the cricket governing body has included some exciting names who have done a great job in recent times. lLeft-arm orthodox spinner Joshua Bishop received his first Test call-up for Windies cricket after an impressive domestic cricket season.

In a press release, the cricket governing body noted that in domestic cricket, the emerging spinner took 91 wickets for Barbados Pride and West Indies Academy in the last three West Indies Championship seasons, which were the best bowling figures by any other bowler in the tournament in that time frame.

The first match of the two-match Test series will be held from July 25 to July 29 at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Taruba, Trinidad. The second match is scheduled to take place at the Queen’s Park Oval in Port of Spain, Trinidad from August 2 to August 6.
