Despite a few issues with the dismissals of Madeline Penna (5) and Tahlia McGrath (3), Wolvaardt skillfully controlled the chase. They got strong support from wicketkeeper Bridget Patterson, who scored 12 not out to help the team win by seven wickets in 17.4 overs.

The Renegades struggled to maintain pressure, with the bowlers giving up too many scoring opportunities. Tess Flintoff was the choice of attack with 2/27, replacing Penna and McGrath.
However, the rest of the bowling unit struggled to break the momentum driven by Wolvaardt. Georgia Wareham managed to take a single wicket, while Sarah Coyte, Alice Capsey and Millie Illingworth were unable to stop the flow of boundaries.
