Yuzvendra Chahal’s record with Punjab Kings in IPL 2026
Ahead of the IPL auction, Punjab Kings retained Yuzvendra Chahal for ₹18 crore. Chahal holds the record for most wickets in IPL history, taking 224 wickets in 177 matches for Mumbai Indians (MI), Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Rajasthan Royals (RR).
Chahal won the Purple Cap by taking 27 wickets while playing for Rajasthan Royals in 2022. Punjab Kings have played three matches this season and are unbeaten in the tournament.
Chahal has taken three wickets in three matches this year at an economy rate of seven runs per over. Meanwhile, recently the match between Punjab Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) got canceled due to heavy rain.
