Shubman stops payment of Gill’s strategic call as Mohammad Siraj removed Zak Croly
After a brief discussion with Shubman Gill about the field placement, Mohammad Sirj performed a detailed delivery, which gave Zak Croly into a loose drive into a loose drive. Shubman Gill made history by becoming only the third Indian captain who scored for centuries in both innings of a Test match. He shares this rare achievement with legends Sunil Gavaskar and Virat Kohli.
Gavaskar was the first to score 107 and 182* against the West Indies in 1987, while Kohli broke 115 and 141 against Australia in 2014.
Gill scored a dual century in the first innings and a century in the second. He became the second Indian only after Gavaskar to achieve it in the same test. Only nine players have reached this milestone.
