KL Rahul and Rishabh Pant Shine for India
Rahul and Pant have been the star artist for the team in the ongoing match against the party led by Ben Stokes.
After Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli’s retirement, batsmen are the most experienced in the Indian testing team, and they have taken responsibility very well.
In the first innings, KL Rahul batted brilliantly and created a solid opening stand with Yashsvi Jaiswal, but he was unable to convert his debut into a big score and fell for 42 runs off 78 balls.
However, Rishabh Pant used the most useful and turned it into a big innings. He scored 134 off 178 balls, with 12 fours and 6 sixes.
Even in the second innings, the pair showed a batting masterclass, and they were constantly interacting with each other. One of his conversation during the 33rd over, when Bridon Cars was bowling, was caught on the stump mike, and it quickly went viral on social media.
Rahul was seen advising his batting partner to watch the ball carefully before playing his shots, and in response, Pant brutally said that he always watches the ball well.
Here is how the conversation between Indian batsmen took place:
KL Rahul: Ball Achhe Dikho (Watch the ball carefully.)
Rishabh Pant: Hanji is such a new one, not … Dukh, du, diyakha hun (yes, this is not the case, I will just swing this way, I see the ball well.)

KL Rahul has a lot of responsibility, and he is taking it brilliantly – Sanjay Manjrekar
Recently, Sanjay Manjrekar highly praised Rahul for his close knock in India’s second innings against three Lions. He also appreciated Debut Sai Sudhasan for his better performance in the second innings after his first outing in Test cricket.
He said, “We have seen KL Rahul playing many good innings over the years, but I have to say – this knock was very close to perfection. Honestly, he did not do one leg wrong,” he said on Gehotstar at 3 days 3.
“Especially a couple of cover drives that were 10 out of 10 out of 10 – even the strict defects of critics would struggle to find a defect.
“As for Sai Reformson, he was good to see a few runs under his belt. He would be disappointed not to kick-on, because as a batsman, once you cross 30, you think you have assessed the attack and a matter of hard work.
