Comments on Team India’s head coach Gautam Gambhir’s handshake boycott have gone viral when India won six wickets over Pakistan in the Asia Cup 2025. Gambhir was asking his players to escape the handsheake with the Pakistan team after the second consecutive win over Archerwells.
All this started when Suryakumar Yadav refused to join hands with Salman Ali Aga during the toss in a group stage match between the two teams. After the match, Indian players also joined hands with Pakistan players. It is worth noting that the Indian players refrained from congratulating the match officials.
Hardik Pandya, Tilak Verma leave the handshahek after the match winner run
Under the leadership of Suryakumar Yadav, India started its Super Four campaign with a win of six wickets. In Blue, men chased a target of 172 runs with seven balls at Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Sunday, 21 September.
Tilak Verma hit the match winning the match on the 19th over penaltimet ball. Verma and Hardik Pandya, who guided India in the rear of the Finnish line, went straight to the dressing room, left the customary post-matches handshake with Pakistan players.
As in his first league encounter, there was no handshake between India captain Suryakumar Yadav and Pakistan captain Salman Ali Aga in the toss.
Tilak Verma, owner of Pakistani clowns, went straight towards the dressing room, but Hardik Pandya joined hands with the match officer in front of Pakistani players and said that we do not shake hands with the clowns.#Indvspak

Are.
Gautam Gambhir made a slight change in the team’s No-Handshek trend. In a viral video, Gautam Gambhir was seen instructing his players to come out of the dressing room and congratulate the on-field umpires. He made it clear that the policy of avoiding handshake with Pakistan players will remain.
Following their instructions, the Indian players moved to the ground and approached Pakistan players, but only joined hands with the match officials including umpire Andy Pikeroft before returning to the dressing room.
Gambhir can be heard asking the players, “Can you meet the umpire” (“At least congratulations to the authorities”). India showed respect for the officials while maintaining its stand against Pakistan.

India faces Bangladesh in the next Super Four Clash
Openers Shubman Gill (47) and Abhishek Sharma (74) dominated Pakistan’s bowling during the run chase. He added a 105 -run partnership off 59 balls, which reduced the pressure on the middle order. In Blue, men chased the target with seven balls.
India will face Bangladesh in Dubai on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Pakistan will take Sri Lanka in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday under the leadership of Salman Ali Aga. A win for India against Bangladesh will guarantee its place in all finals, while Pakistan will be fighting to stay in a dispute.
Earlier in Super Four Stage, Bangladesh defeated Sri Lanka by four wickets in Dubai. The top two teams of the Super Four Stage will meet in the final in Dubai on 28 September.
