Former Indian wicketkeeper-son Dinesh Karthik recently taunted Ravi Shastri in front of the former Indian head coach, while talking about how his test career ended.
Dinesh Karthik said that his exit like former England captain Nasir Hussain was very different from others, who got more respectable farewell and respect than his then coach.
Speaking on public podcast, Karthik recalled how, after a forgetful outing at Lord’s during the 2018 England tour, Shastri clearly told him that he was “done” and “should not bother to come back”, with any other occasion, just a full break on his test dreams.

In particular, Karthik returned to India’s Test team in June 2018, when regular wicketkeeper Trodhiman Saha was injured.

Shastri said on the podcast, “All these youths coming through ranks, Rishabh Pant -He turned DK -Shabman Gill … Hardik Pandya …” before Michael Atitrat before bursting into laughter and said, “He mentioned one hundred other names.”
