According to the German Research Center for Geosciences (GFZ), the quake, which also affected parts of Kolkata and Guwahati, was reported as a 5.7 magnitude quake, and was felt across Bangladesh and most parts of northeastern India.

Play resumed after a three-minute interruption, with Ireland’s score at 165/5 in the 56th over. Despite the initial shock, play continued as the players recovered their composure. Ireland lost two more wickets during the resumed session, and by lunch on the third day, they were 211/7 in reply to Bangladesh’s total of 476. While the earthquake caused a temporary disruption, players and officials quickly refocused, and play continued in a tense but determined atmosphere.

Bangladesh is dominant till tea on the third day and has taken a lead of 253 runs against Ireland.
