Washington Sundar caught the Crowley-Oli Pope collision after destroying England in the Oval Test

The 25-year-old India National cricket team spin-bouling all-rounder Washington Sundar displayed an extraordinary performance with the bat in the fifth Test match against the England National cricket team.

Washington Sundar performed his aggressive avatar in the fifth and final match of the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy 2025 and destroyed the English bowling unit at Kennington Oval, London.

Washington Sundar hit the incredible half-century

Sundar broke a sensational centenary in the previous Test match at Old Trafford, Manchester, helping India draw a historic draw on the English soil.

He continued his good batting at the conclusion of the series and recorded a significant 26 runs off 55 balls with three fours in the first innings.

The young all -rounder improved his performance in the second innings and exploded an epic fifty. He arrived in the middle after going to Dhruv Jurlel Jamie overton on the second ball of the 77th over.

Washington Sundar scored an important 34 runs with Ravindra Jadeja, and after his dismissal, a brutal attack on England Bowling Unit.

Sundar shocked England with his cruel attack and saw the bowlers clearly. He blasted one fifty of just 39 balls and then came out trying to play a big shot in the 88th over.

On the last ball of the over, Josh tongue moved a full -length delivery towards Sundar from Sundar, which managed to get only a leading lead, and the ball went into the air.

Zak Croly and Oli Pope conceived from under the ball on the mid-wicket and had no clue about each other’s presence for the last second.

However, despite a small collision, Zak Croly managed to hold the ball and Washington Sundar rejected 46 balls for 53 runs as England were set a target of 374 runs.

Speaking on a special BBC Test match, former England captain Michael Vaughan said England made a mistake by bowling in Sundar’s arc. He said:

“England are bowling at Washington Sundar’s arc. England’s problem is that he is going to bat either a difficult hour.”

Meanwhile, Ravi Shastri, while speaking on Sky Sports, called Sundar’s innings a luxurious and completely entertaining. He said:

“This is a great batting with Washington, he is supporting himself and his strength. He said after his innings in Old Trafford that the century will do miracles for his confidence. It is completely entertaining.”

Ravi Shastri also said that half -century will pick up the Indian dressing room from Sundar. He said:

“Washington is showing a long, long promise to play for India. Such an innings raises the dressing room. A brilliant half -century, this. He has scored 35 runs off his last 12 balls.”
