A massive security breach took place at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium in Raipur during the second ODI of the three-match series between the India national cricket team and the South Africa national cricket team.
A die-hard fan of Virat Kohli breached security to meet his idol, but his attempt failed and he was brutally assaulted by security officials.
Fan ran towards Virat Kohli, security personnel pulled him back
Security violations in Indian stadiums have become quite common these days, as several incidents have been reported in various states in recent times.
Cricket fans in India treat their favorite cricketers like gods and are ready to do anything to get a chance to meet and interact with them.
Their passion for cricketers has led fans to take extreme measures, violating security during live matches and invading grounds to meet the players. Most of the time, the police take strict action against such fans, but this does not stop them from taking extreme steps.
During the celebration of Kohli’s century in the first ODI, a fan entered the field to touch his feet. Meanwhile, during the second game, a fan ran towards Virat Kohli, but security immediately intervened. The officials on the field literally assaulted the fan and threw him off the field.

Back-to-back 100 for King – Virender Sehwag
Kohli played a brilliant innings in the Raipur ODI and scored his 53rd century in ODIs and his 84th century in all formats. He stitched a strong 195-run partnership with Ruturaj Gaikwad to take India to a total of 358/5.
Former cricketers Virender Sehwag, Irfan Pathan and Sunil Gavaskar were impressed by Kohli’s innings and praised the right-handed batsman.
Sehwag wrote, “Virat Kohli has a different addiction to 100. We are counting centuries, he just does it as a routine. Back-to-back 100 for the King. 53rd ODI century. If Virat is there, it is possible. Brilliant century by Ruturaj Gaikwad, which has made batting very easy.”
