Virat Kohli’s coach bowed before Rohit Sharma after his brilliant performance in Sydney ODI!

India’s national cricket team’s modern batsman Virat Kohli’s childhood coach Rajkumar Sharma has praised former all-format captain Rohit Sharma.

Rajkumar Sharma congratulated Rohit Sharma for scoring a brilliant century against the Australia National Cricket Team at the Sydney Cricket Ground and praised his brilliant partnership with Virat Kohli.

The happiness index of Indian cricket peaked on Saturday, October 25, when the duo of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, popularly known as Ro-Ko, played remarkable innings against the Mitchell Marsh-led side.

India entered the Sydney ODI after losing the series following defeats in Perth and Adelaide and were aiming to avoid a whitewash. Kohli had a tough time ahead of the final ODI as he got consecutive ducks while Rohit scored a half-century in the second match.

However, in the third ODI, both of them performed brilliantly and made a match-winning partnership to give India a spectacular victory by 9 wickets.

Rohit Sharma scored 121* runs in 125 balls with the help of 13 fours and 3 sixes and Kohli scored 74 runs in 81 balls with the help of 7 fours, together they added 168 runs.

Speaking to ANI after the match, Rajkumar Sharma said that Kohli and Rohit proved with their performance that they are absolute legends of Indian cricket. He said:

“Both played brilliant innings and I would also like to congratulate Rohit Sharma for his brilliant century. It was a brilliant partnership and both the legends once again showed that they are great players and legends of Indian cricket.”

Kohli ended his Australia tour on a high note, but got out for consecutive ducks in the first two matches. Talking about this, Rajkumar Sharma said that a player of Kohli’s caliber should not be judged on one or two innings. He said:

“With just two innings, you can’t say that Virat Kohli is out of form. His performance today has made him the world’s second-highest run-scorer in ODIs. This shows his contribution to Indian cricket. He has scored 51 centuries. People love him a lot and want him to play as much as possible.”

Australia national cricket team captain Mitchell Marsh was happy after defeating the India national cricket team in the ODI series, but he also made sure to acknowledge the efforts of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli. He said:

“We’ve seen Rohit and Virat do that for a lot of teams over the last 10 years. We needed another partnership at the end, it’s been a great lesson for our youngsters. India was very good. There were a lot of learning opportunities for us. India are the number one team in the world, so getting the job done in the first two games is something we can be really proud of as a team and will continue to do as we move forward. I’m really proud of the whole team.”
