Virat Kohli’s childhood coach Rajkumar Sharma has backed India to win the World Cup this time at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. He just mentioned that although New Zealand has come this far by playing excellent cricket, if India plays to its potential, this World Cup is ours.
After India reached the final against New Zealand, they have got a chance to win the World Cup for the second time in a row in back-to-back editions. The defending champions got their campaign back on track with Sanju Samson and brought hope into the hearts of millions of Indian fans.

Virat Kohli’s childhood coach Rajkumar Sharma said, “Nothing can be said with certainty in T20 cricket, but looking at our cricket team in the current scenario, it feels like this World Cup is ours.” India will definitely win this match.

Virat Kohli’s childhood coach backs Kuldeep Yadav over Varun Chakravarthy for World Cup final
Talking about India’s batting firepower, when ANI reporter asked what he expects them to do in the final, Rajkumar Sharma claimed that he has high expectations from the Indian batsmen, and that is because they have batting depth, and all the batsmen can score runs at a strike rate of at least 150.
However, he also pointed out that the pitch of Narendra Modi Stadium is not like Wankhede Stadium. It will not be a batting track, but he is hopeful that the pitch was well prepared ahead of such an important game, the ICC T20 World Cup final.
When asked why the batsman has failed to find his rhythm since the Super-8, with India having tried Kuldeep Yadav in place of Varun Chakravarthy, he said:
“Yes, it can be considered. In the last game, his (Varun’s) confidence was so low that he started bowling like a medium pacer. So if we really have a bowler like Kuldeep Yadav, who has such an amazing record, then if the team management feels that Varun lacks confidence, then Kuldeep can be given a chance there.”
“Maybe Abhishek will play a big innings in the final and lead India to victory” – Rajkumar Sharma
The coach praised Sanju Samson’s excellent form in the format. He also claimed that with the kind of form he is in, if he plays a little more for India, it will be a big advantage for him.
Talking about Abhishek Sharma’s poor form in this T20 World Cup, he said, ‘It is a bit unfortunate that Abhishek, who was India’s best batsman before the World Cup, could not maintain it.’
He said, “But maybe today is his day and he will play a big innings in the final and lead India to victory.” Not just Rajkumar Sharma, but the entire nation would want every player in that lineup to rise to the occasion and do everything possible to give India a historic win.
