Virat Kohli has scored centuries in both the ODIs so far and will be desperate to complete the hat-trick. In the opening match of the series in Ranchi, the former India captain scored 135 runs off 120 balls and helped his team win the match by 17 runs. He was named player of the match for his brilliant effort.

The right-handed batsman had also scored a century in the second ODI in Raipur. He scored 102 runs in 93 balls with the help of 7 fours and 2 sixes. Unfortunately, his valiant effort with the bat ultimately went in vain as India lost the match.

India eyes series win:

To win the series, Team India will be desperate to win the third ODI. Things have not been good for Team India against South Africa and winning the series will boost their confidence a lot.

Last month, the Proteas had an embarrassing defeat by India in the two-match Test series. India came back to win the first ODI but they were not really impressive. While Virat Kohli’s century took them to 349/8, South Africa almost chased down the target. In the end the visiting team missed by just 17 runs.

In the second ODI, India scored 358/5 but lost. South Africa leveled the series by chasing a huge score with four balls remaining. The Men in Blue would like to make a comeback and win the third ODI to clinch the series.

The action moves to T20Is:

After the Test and ODI, India and South Africa will face each other in a five-match T20 series. This series is going to start in Cuttack on 9th December. Under the captaincy of Suryakumar Yadav, India have not lost any T20 series yet and will be hoping to keep their record intact. This series will also be a good preparation for both the teams before next year’s T20 World Cup.
