West Indies batting legend Chris Gayle recently shared his views on Virat Kohli’s decision to retire from Test cricket. In May 2025, Virat Kohli surprised the entire cricket world by suddenly declaring his retirement from Test cricket – the format he loved the most.

The West Indies Batter expressed his happiness about being part of the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) team, which removed the IPL Trophy earlier this year.
He recalled the excitement of sharing the achievement with Virat Kohli after the IPL 2025 final, saying that it was a special moment for RCB and AB de Villiers.
Gayle further mentioned, “I am just happy that a person like Virat also picked up the trophy, because you know that there were a lot of things here and there. We went to some finals together, so I was really overwhelmed to be a part of that RCB team to lift the trophy.
In particular, Gayle and de Villiers joined the RCB festival after crushing Punjab Kings and won the IPL 2025 Trophy in June.
