Indian cricket is still not able to digest the sudden retirement of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli from Test cricket earlier this year, earlier this year, and now World Cup winner Krrish Srikanth has launched a new attack on the control board for cricket in India (BCCI).
Chris Srikanth has accused BCCI of incorrectly connecting the retirement of India’s two biggest legends, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. Rohit was the first person to go away from red-ball cricket in May, and within days, Kohli chased him and shocked the entire cricket world.

The former Indian chief selector believes that both Virat and Rohit should have been celebrated properly for their contribution in testing cricket.

Chris Srikanth said on his YouTube channel, “If you play 100 tests for your country, you should be a terrible cricketer. Therefore, you should be sent a good. I am confident that there was a big communication difference when Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma retired.

Former India opener also said that Kohli still had some good years who survived as a Test cricketer. He suggested that India would struggle to find a cricketer of Kohli’s caliber in the near future.
Srikanth further said, “Virat Kohli’s retirement was like that. Virat Kohli was entitled to send a better. He still had a two -year Test cricket left. But because we were attracted in England, such a conversation about him stopped. However, India would be difficult to get a cricketer like a cricketer for some time.”

The former Indian chief selector also pulled another big name in the controversy, and he is Cheteshwar Pujara, who recently called Time on his career. He claimed that like Rohit and Virat, Pujara also did not get a farewell test and slammed the BCCI to not show the honor that was really worthy of modern-day legends.

He felt that the BCCI should discuss the retirement of at least Pujara as he was out of the team since 2023 and ensured that he was sent a fair. Srikanth stressed that retirement is not only personal calls, but a case that requires cooperation between players, selectors and boards.
Srikanth signed, saying, “Similarly, with Pujara, although it has been some time since it was played for India, he should have even talked to him about his retirement plans. Of course, the player will also have to cooperate and realize when he had time.
