Former Royal Challengers Bangalore and India captain Virat Kohli is once again embroiled in controversy after a latest video went viral on the internet.
In the video, Kohli was seen refusing to give an autograph to a young fan, causing him to cry. The move has sparked controversy on the internet over whether what he did was right or not.
Kohli and RCB were part of a crushing 9-wicket win over Delhi Capitals on Monday night.
Virat Kohli ignores the small child and walks away
In the video, Kohli can be seen arriving at the team hotel with a small child who is eagerly waiting for him. When the child ran to welcome Kohli, the security personnel pushed him away and ultimately refused to give him an autograph.
Most have criticized Kohli for ‘shattering the child’s dream’ and ‘behaving arrogantly’. However, many others have defended him by saying that he is under no obligation to consider any and all requests that come to him.
The young fan looked quite disappointed and reacted by throwing his bat on the ground. This also divided the internet, as many criticized the ‘entitlement’ on display.

Virat Kohli achieved an important feat against Delhi Capitals
During RCB’s crushing win against Delhi Capitals on Monday, Kohli achieved a milestone which no other player has achieved in IPL history.
RCB won the toss and chose bowling in New Delhi. Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Josh Hazlewood took three wickets each in the powerplay, leaving Delhi at 8/6 at one stage.
Abhishek Porel resisted the attack but could not prevent Delhi being bowled out for just 75 runs.
RCB achieved the target in just 6.3 overs and won with 81 balls to spare. During this, Kohli scored 23 unbeaten runs and became the first batsman to score 9,000 runs in IPL history.
Kohli was also the first batsman in IPL history to score 4,000, 6,000, 7,000 and 8,000 runs. With 351 runs in 8 matches at a strike rate of 163, Kohli is the fourth-highest run-scorer in IPL 2026.

Upcoming matches of RCB in IPL 2026
RCB will next face Gujarat Titans on April 30 in Ahmedabad. Both the teams have already clashed once on April 24 in Bengaluru.
In that encounter, Sai Sudarshan’s brilliant century went in vain as Virat Kohli counter-attacked and scored 81 runs in a successful chase of 206. Kohli was given the Player of the Match award for his brilliant innings.
RCB now has 6 wins from 8 matches, and the win over DC gave them the best net run rate in the league. All this has made RCB’s path to the playoffs much easier.
