Ro-Co magic returns to Ranchi
Meanwhile, Virat Kohli lit up Ranchi with a brilliant performance in the first ODI against South Africa, reminding everyone why he is one of the greatest players in the format. The Ro-Co magic returned in full force before the superstar scored a brilliant century in Ranchi.
The JSCA International Stadium was abuzz with the unison of Rohit Sharma and Kohli after the early dismissal of Yashasvi Jaiswal. The two giants took complete control of the South African attack in the ongoing first ODI with ease combining timing, placement and power.
Rohit and Kohli made a brilliant partnership of 136 runs and treated the fans with brilliant fours and brilliant sixes. His shots looked easy and the partnership kept India steady in the middle overs.

Virat Kohli reveals his approach towards cricket
Before the Ranchi ODI, Kohli said that he always steps on the field only when he knows that he can give his full effort. The former Indian captain said that his attitude and hard work is visible not only in his game but also in the way he behaves and builds relationships with people over the years.
“Look, I am very confident that once I make myself available to play, I reach 100% of my potential. I have always played my cricket that way. I have never even reached 95% in any series or tournament,” Virat Kohli said in a BCCI video.
The will to work and the commitment to work are as high today as they have ever been. And I am still enjoying my cricket a lot and am very excited to play any kind of series, any kind of cricket. So, that’s where I’m at.”
