Legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar Former Team India captain Virat Kohli has opened up about the decision to retire from Test cricket before the five -match series against England. Tendulkar said that the decision to retire from cricket is personal and said that it should not be judged by outsiders.
Virat Kohli’s retirement has left a void in batting order from the test. He finished his red-ball career as the fourth biggest run-gate for India, with 9230 runs out of 123 matches. Apart from his batting, Kohli was also India’s most successful Test captain, who won 40 wins in 68 matches.

Talking to the Test match special, Sachin Tendulkar said that only the person knows his mental and physical condition. Tendulkar said that it is unfair to offer opinion until a person does not understand fully.

“This is a personal decision. So, you know, it is easy for an outsider to pass just a loose comment and say, ‘Okay, he should not have done this’ or ‘he should have done so,’ whatever can happen,” Sachin told the Test match.
He said, “Only the person only understands the state of their mind and how the body is responding to the long format of the game. And this is a personal decision, so it would not be right for me to comment on it,” he said.

Virat Kohli made headlines during the tour of Australia earlier this year
Virat Kohli During the tour of Australia earlier this year, he came under the spotlight, where he scored just 190 runs in 11 innings at an average of 23.75. He scored a century in the second innings of the initial Test, but scored only 90 runs in the remaining matches.
The former captain of India played three Test tours of England during his career. He scored 1096 runs in 17 matches at an average of 33.21.
His first tour in 2014 was a forgetful, in which Kohli was scoring just 134 runs. However, he strongly bounced in 2018, scoring an average of 59.30 runs at 593, including two centuries and three half -centuries.

The five -match Test series is scheduled to be played from 20 June to 4 August. According to the schedule, Headingly (Leeds), Edgbaston (Birmingham), Lords (London), Old Trafford (Manchester), and Oval (London) will host tests.
The newly named Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy was officially introduced before the first test between England and India in Headingly on Friday. In particular, the trophy will be presented to the winners of both sides in the future test chain.
