After retiring from the other two formats of the game, both these mythological cricketers last played for India in international cricket in February during India’s winning Champions Trophy campaign.
Rohit, captain, led a stunning 76 in the final, while on the other hand, Kohli scored 84 runs against Pakistan and a match against Australia. Due to his prolonged absence from international cricket, both players were asked to undergo fitness tests at BCCI Coe.
Rohit Sharma, who is known for his suspected fitness, conducted tests and possibly considered a match-fit by the BCCI report. On the other hand, Kohli has passed his tests with flying colors, as well as claiming a new record in the history of Yo-Yo tests.
However, since Kohli conducted these tests in England, he has been reported to travel to India this month and may go through a fitness assessment in Bengaluru.
